An installation of art and photographs by Dennis Hopper will open to the public at the Harwood Museum in Taos, NM, on May 9, 2009. In addition to the solo exhibition, a second gallery curated by Hopper of works by his friends Larry Bell, Ron Cooper, Ronald Davis, Ken Pierce, and Robert Dean Stockwell will also open. Jina Brenneman, Harwood Museum Curator, talks about each of the artists and the friendship they have enjoyed for over 40 years. Hopper at the Harwood - 40 Years of Friendship - is the first Taos event of a "Summer of Love" activities celebrating the anniversary of the "Easy Rider" move which was parcially filmed in Taos. « less
