The sad fact is that by the time they're three years old, most dogs (about 85%) already have some form of tooth and gum disease. But, there is good news. A canine vaccine is now available which aids in the prevention of periodontitis, or tooth and gum disease. The breakthrough vaccine, called Porphyromonas, is the first and only one of its kind. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has granted a conditional license, which means the product has met the requirements for purity, safety and a reasonable expectation of efficacy. « less
