Recently scientists used quantum physics to explain some of those topics. This video presentation by Maosen Zhong attempts to shed some light on these intriquing topics so that Buddhists practising the Pure Land School would have a better grasp of references to rebirth on those Buddhalands, and get a better understanding of the cosmos mentioned frequently in the Avatamsaka Sutra.
