A custom in France involves the bride to be dressing in wierd costumes and going around the streets with her female friends visiting shops and accosting strangers either to give them a present or persuading them to buy something. On one occasion the bride was giving away drinks of wine, but this time the bride had a tray of "special objects for men" which she was trying to cajole them into buying. Her costume was, to say the least, interesting if not tasteful. « less
